Vanilla Cake

Cake is a form of bread. It is typically a sweet baked dessert. Cakes are broadly divided into several varieties; Vanilla cake is one of them. You can also say it is a basic cake. You can decorate it as your own choice depending on how artistic is you.


1 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flourVanilla-Cake
1 cup unsalted butter
1 cup white sugar
2 teaspoons Vanilla extract
1 and 3/4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2 eggs


Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease the baking tin with melted butter. Dust some flour in the tin and the sides of the tin well.

In a large mixing bowl, mix the baking powder, baking soda and flour. In another bowl beat sugar and eggs together until slightly thickened, about 1 minute.

Add flour, vanilla and beat for another minute, just until the batter is smooth and creamy. Pour the batter into the prepared baking tin. Bake for 1 hr 20 minutes or until well risen and golden – a skewer inserted into the middle should come out clean.

Leave to cool for 30 minutes in the tin, and then use a skewer to poke holes all over the cake, going right to the bottom.
