Rava Ladoo Recipe

Ladoo is a very popular ball-shaped sweet popular in South Asian Countries which has a number of varieties. Rava Ladoo is one of them.


2 cup rava (rawa/suji/semolina)
1 cup sugar
1 cup milk
1 cup ghee
8-10 blanched almonds
1/2 cup grated coconut
1 tbsp broken cashew nuts
1 tbsp raisins
1 tbsp currants
1 tbsp cardamom Powder


Take the broken cashew nuts. Wash and dry both raisins and currants.  Lightly fry almonds, cashew nuts, raisins and currants with 1 tbsp ghee till change color slightly.

Then add grated coconut and fry for a few minutes and keep them in a pot. Heat 2 tbsp ghee in a pan Fry the rava (rawa/suji/semolina) till it turns light brown in color. Then add the almonds, cashewnuts, raisins and currants.

Then add sugar, milk and cardamom powder and and stir fry till the mixture becomes sticky. While still warm, make the mixture into small balls. Now your rava ladoos are ready. Serve when cool and dry. You can store the ladoos within 2-3 days.
