Pudina Kulcha(Mint Bread)


Pudina kulcha is a very tasty recipe and easy to make. It prepare with few ingredients. In India people eat roti , chapati, naan, poori or kulcha. Pudina kulcha Kulcha is a double dough stuffed with Pudina flavor.


All purpose floor 3 cup

Sugar 1tsp

Baking soda 1/2 tsp

Pudina leaves 1/2 cup(mint leaves)

Finely chopped onions 1

Finely chopped green chilies 3

Yogurt   1 tablespoon (whisked smooth)

1 tbsp butter

Salt as taste

Water as need


Sieve flour with baking powder, soda bicarbonate and salt. Add yogurt, sugar and sufficient water. Knead well into medium soft dough. Apply a little oil and knead it further. Keeps it aside covering it with lid for 30 min to make it more soft.

Now for filling, in a bowl mix pudina leaves (you can chop them if required), finely chopped green chilies, finely chopped onions, little salt. Make the dough in to small balls. Take one dough ball and roll it to make medium size roti. Place the stuffing in the center and wrap the outer one carefully. using rolling pin, roll it to make kulcha using on a lightly floured surface. Now Take a griddle and heat it over medium flame. Place the kulcha on it for 1 minute and turn over and apply butter on the upper side. Slowly pressing it using spatula turn over and apply butter on the other side too. Roast both sides and Take it to plate. Pudina kulcha is ready to serve. Serve with any type of gravy curry or fresh curd.
