Paneer Kathi Roll

Paneer Kathi Roll is a healthy meal for kids. It is  one of the famous Indian fast food recipes.

You can serve as break-fast or in the evening with a cup of tea as snack.


250g fried paneer (cut into cubes)

½ cup tomatoes (deseeded and diced)

½ cup red, green, yellow capsicum (diced)

2 sliced onions

6 pieces green chili (chopped)

2 Carrot (finely diced)

1/2 cup shredded cabbage

1/2 cup Green peas

1 tsp chilli powder

1/2tsp turmeric powder

½ tsp chaat masala

1/2 tsp ginger paste

1/2 tsp garlic paste

1 teaspoon lime juice

2 teaspoon oil1 cup whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta)

1 cup low fat milk

1/2 cup butter

Salt as taste

4-6 tablespoons pudina chutney

Fresh coriander leaves for garnishing

Method of Filling:

Heat little in a pan and put onions and ginger paste and green chilies to it. Cook the onion till golden brown, and then add diced red, green, yellow capsicum in it.

Add fried paneer slices in it. Add green peas, diced carrot, and cabbage in it. Add chili powder, turmeric powder and salt as taste, cover a led on it.

Allow all the veggies to cook for 5 to 10 minutes. When the veggies are cooked add chat masala, lime juice.

Sprinkle little coriander leaves on it, let it cool for some time.

Method of breads:

Combine wheat flour, salt, milk and knead into soft dough. Divide the dough into equal portions.

Roll out each portion into a thin chapatti. Cook each chapatti lightly on a tava (griddle) on both sides using little butter. Keep aside.

Allow it to cool for 30 secs and spread the pudina chutney over it on one side and fill the veggies in the center.

Roll them like burrito and again put it in the tava with little butter for 2-5 secs.

Keep turning the rolls so that they are uniformly brown on each side

Cut the roll into half and serve them hot with sauces/chutneys of your choice.

You can garnish with coriander leaves or carrot slice.
