Roti is one of the most common forms in which wheat. It is a common staple of cuisine in South Asia as well as amongst South Asian expatriates throughout the world. Missi Roti is a traditional dish of Rajasthan in India.


100 gms Wheat flour

100 gms Besan

50 gms Maida

2 tbsp soya flour

1 tbsp Red chilly powder

1 tbsp Dhaniya Powder

2 tbsp Dry kasoori methi

2 tbsp Ghee

1/2 tbsp Kaala Jeera

1/2 tbsp Jeera

1/2 tbsp Ajwain

1/2 tbsp soya oil

a pinch of turmeric powder

a pinch of hing


Water to knead


Mix Wheat flour, soya flour, besan, maida, chili powder,  dhaniya powder, kasturi methi, kaala geera, geera, ajwain, turmeric powder, hing and mix well.

Add ghee and water into the mixture and make a soft dough. Keep the mixture covered with damp cloth for half an hour.

Then divide the dough and make some equal balls. Take little bit soya oil i your hand, and take each ball of dough between your palms to make a clean round ball.

Make the ball into chapatti. Then heat the tawa and cook the  missi chapati (roti) with the soya oil.

Spread with butter immediately and serve hot with any chutney.
