Crispy Garlic Chicken Wings Recipe

These crispy wings are perfect for a summer soiree. Served with sweet chili sauce for dipping they make the perfect treat. A very simple recipe for Baked Parmesan Garlic Chicken Wings Recipe

Ingredients:

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon dried rosemary

1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

1 teaspoon kosher or sea salt (1/2 tsp table salt)

2 1/2 pounds chicken wings

1/2 cup white sugar

1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

5 cloves garlic, peeled

1 cup oyster sauce

1/4 cup soy sauce

1/4 cup ketchup

2 tablespoons minced fresh basil

2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil (or melted butter)

1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

1 cup blue cheese dressing

1-2 teaspoons Dijon mustard (or to taste)

Directions:

Rinse the chicken wings in cold water and pat dry with paper towels. In a large bowl, mix the oyster sauce, soy sauce, ketchup, garlic powder, oregano, rosemary, cumin, salt and sugar. Lay the chicken wings on a baking sheet and season the chicken wings with this mixture.

Refrigerate marinated chicken for over night

Preheat oven to 425F.Place on center oven rack and bake at 250°F for 2 – 2 1/2 hours, turning and basting every 30-40 minutes. When wings are done they will be tender and crispy

In a separate bowl, mix together the blue cheese dressing with the mustard (this is your dipping sauce)

When the chicken is cooked through, toss the wings with the garlic/cheese/olive oil (or butter) sauce. Serve with the blue cheese/mustard dressing

Next time you will go to market and bye a couple pounds of wings, try this out.
