Chicken Puff Pastry Crowns are delicious and puffy. It is buttery. I think your family is like it.
1 box frozen puff pastry sheets, thawed
1 packet Salad Dressing & Seasoning Mix
1 egg yolk beaten
1 package cream cheese, softened
1 cup minced cooked chicken
1/3 cup minced green pepper
½ cup minced red pepper
Salt as taste
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.Unfold the thawed pastry. In a bowl, combine the cream cheese together with the seasoning mix and stir until well blended.
Fold the chicken and peppers into the cream cheese mixture. Season with salt and pepper. Cut out 36 2-inch rounds with a cookie cutter. Using a small cookie cutter, cut a small circle out of the center at of half of the pastry rounds.
Arrange the whole rounds on a parchment-lined baking sheet.Spoon 1 tablespoon of the chicken mixture in the center of each round. Top each round with one of the cut-out rounds and seal the edges with a fork. Brush the rounds with the egg yolk.
Chill well. Bake on an non greased baking sheet at 400° F for 20 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed. Serve along with some salad dressing and seasoning mix in a bowl.
