Yesterday evening I ate chicken egg roll with my hubby. It was very tasty and yummy. It is a healthy snack than other street food. There are varieties of rolls like egg roll, chicken roll, egg – chicken roll, chicken tikka roll, combination of the above mentioned ingredients; even vegetarian roll like paneer roll is available these days.
1/2 cup cabbage, shredded
2 or 3 pieces minced chicken, cooked
Clove garlic 1 minced
Chopped green chili 2
Vegetable oil 4 tbsp
Soya sauce 2tbsp
Tomato sauce 3tbsp
Black paper 1/2tbsp
Salt as taste
Capsicum 1 sliced
Chopped coriander leaves 1 tablespoon
Take a pan and add oil, when it gets hot add chopped onion, capsicum, chopped green chili, minced garlic
Add cabbage and cook till cabbage will be tender. Add minced chicken in it. Add soy sauce, chili sauce, tomato sauce, black paper and salt as taste in it. Let it cook on low 5 to 10 minutes.
Beat the eggs in a bowl. Sift the flour, add salt and oil and knead to form soft dough.
Divide the dough into roundels (the roundels will be slightly bigger than those for making roti / chapatti).
Take a rolling board, and roll out a circular parantha (a little thicker than ordinary roti / chapati).
Heat griddle and place the parantha on the heated griddle. Cook one side then flip to cook the other side.
Now heat a pan and add little oil, pour the beaten egg and make a omelet. Place one paratha on it. Do not turn it and let it be till the egg cooks.
Place a double sheet of tissue paper on a plate. Now place the roll on paper and lay a portion of the cooked chicken pieces in a straight line in the middle of the parantha.
Place some chopped onion, tomato sauce, chili sauce and Roll it covering the rest of the paper.
If you want in small size you can cut it in middle. Serve it with tomato sauce and chili sauce.
