King fish fillets cut into fingers 1/2 kg
Gram flour 1 cup
Garlic paste 1 tablespoon
Ginger paste 1 tablespoon
Lemon juice 1 tablespoon
Carom seed 1 teaspoon
Red chilli powder 1 tablespoon
Lemons cut into wedges 2
Oil for Deep fry
Salt as taste
Shaded salad (onion, cabbage, carrot) for garnishing
Combine the ginger paste, garlic paste, chili powder, salt, carom seed, lemon juice, and gram flour. Mix well. Coat the fish cubes with the mixture then set aside for about 30 minutes. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Break an egg into the fish mixture and mix. Put the fingers, a few at a time, into the hot oil and deep fry till almost done.
Drain and put on a paper towel. Deep fry again just before serving till golden and crisp. Drain and place on a paper towel. Sprinkle some chaat masala and lemon wedges. Serve hot with souse or shaded salad.
